Refined Wines from the
Heart of La Honda

Bold, fruit-forward, and beautifully expressive—our Pinot Noir is grown, harvested, crushed, barreled, and bottled right here in La Honda. Experience the flavors of the slow coast in every glass.

Tucked into the Santa Cruz Mountains, Tarwater Creek Vineyards is a boutique Pinot Noir estate planted in 2012 along the banks of Tarwater Creek, a tributary of Pescadero Creek.

Our wines reflect this dramatic landscape—rich in color, layered with bright fruit, and perfumed with a fragrant bouquet. Each bottle captures the spirit of the mountain slopes where it was born.

Grown, crushed, barreled, and bottled on-site, our wine is approachable yet complex—an honest reflection of the slow coast.

About the Vineyard

Born of Place. Rooted in Patience. Crafted with Purpose.

Tarwater Creek Vineyards is a small, family-run estate rooted in the rugged beauty of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Established in 2012 beside Tarwater Creek, our vines thrive in coastal fog, mountain sun, and mineral-rich soils.

The Land & Climate

Between the ridgeline and the sea, Tarwater Creek thrives in a landscape defined by contrast—fog and sun, redwood shade and open sky. Our vines draw strength from mineral-rich mountain soil and the steady rhythm of coastal weather. Each growing season leaves its quiet imprint, shaping the character of the fruit in ways only this place can.

We tend the land with restraint and respect, working in step with the cycles that sustain it. The result is not control, but harmony—a partnership between nature and nurture.

Crafting with Intention

Our winemaking is guided by intuition and observation. Every step—from pruning to bottling—is done with care and attention to detail. We don’t aim to replicate the past; we aim to honor what each season gives.

Patience defines our process. Time in barrel, gentle handling, and minimal intervention allow the wine to find its natural expression—balanced, honest, and unmistakably Tarwater Creek.

People Behind the Wine

Tarwater Creek is, at its heart, a hands-on endeavor led by people who love the craft. We bring together deep curiosity, practical skill, and a shared reverence for the vineyard itself.

Each bottle reflects that collaboration—a quiet dialogue between growers, makers, and the land. What connects it all is a simple belief: wine is a way of paying attention.
